Happy middle of 2019! I can hardly believe that it is the end of June already; it seems like the year is absolutely flying by! As six months of the year are already behind us, I thought I would write a brief update about new things coming to the blog before the end of the year because there are so many good things coming!
First, Jake and I are in the process of building a new, eco-friendly, “green” place to live, and we hope to be moved in by the end of the year! The picture at the top of this post is where our new house will be located, and I am super happy our new home is in the middle of a forest. As the building continues, I will be writing a series of posts detailing our product choices and the entire building process!
Additionally I am in the middle of planning a blog and website update that will make the entire site easily searched and have all the posts categorized in an effective method. Additionally, a name change and blog layout may be coming too! Stay tuned!
Essential Oil Classes
If you are local to the Tupelo-Oxford, Mississippi area, I will be teaching weekly essential oil classes starting as soon as I get a consistent group of attendees together! These classes will range from a basic essential oil 101 class to topically essential oil classes such as essential oils and sleep, essential oils and emotions, essential oils and pain management, and so much more! If you want to know more about these classes or essential oils in general, send me a message and I would be happy to send you more information!
To our joy as fur baby parents, we are getting a new Bengal kitten next week! I am super excited for this addition to the family because Mazel, our two year old Seal Mink Snow Bengal, has needed a cat playmate for a long time. Mazel has been moody, lonely, and bored, so a playmate is on the way! I will be sharing a blog post about this transition in the future, and I cannot wait to share pictures of the newest addition!
Recently, I changed to following a vegan keto diet, which is basically plant-based low carb, and I feel better than I have in a long time! Brain fog, water retention, bloating, digestion, and more have improved dramatically, and I am looking forward to sharing more of this journey in coming weeks and months. My health journey has been long and challenging, and I have not shared much of the details here on the blog because I did not have words for all the difficulties I have been facing. However, I hope that as I continue to heal and feel better, I will have a series of blog posts about all the different treatments, diets, supplements, and more that I have tried.
I would love to see your thoughts on this post, so please comment or ask any questions! In addition, if you were inspired to put a picture on Instagram because of this post, tag me at #shalomhomestead!
Best wishes and shalom, friends!
