Top 5 Recipes of 2019

Happy New Years! I can hardly believe that it is almost 2020 and the start of a new decade! How are you bringing in the New Year? I would love to hear in the comments. When I was younger, we always had a day with special foods and perhaps a new movie to watch, but now that I am married, my husband and I enjoy a quiet day at home. We have not ever stayed up to midnight to bring in the new year because we go to bed around nine o’clock every night. However, New Year’s Day is always a great day to reminisce and talk about the year we just left and our goals and hopes for the new year. May your new year be filled with family, laughter, good memories, and love!

My top nine IG posts definitely show the diversity of my year, and I am grateful for all the amazing changes that have taken place the last twelve months!

In order to celebrate, I thought I would share the Top 5 Recipes of 2019 from my blog! Two bread recipes, a chocolate cake, horseradish sauce, carob bars were the top five most visited recipes of the year, and the first-place recipe had three times the views of the fifth place recipe!

Coming into fifth place, is My Pamela’s Bread Recipe that uses the Pamela’s brand of gluten free bread mix to make a quick and easy, gluten free and vegan loaf. Fourth place is my very recently posted Chocolate Velvet Cake with Vanilla Frosting recipe! This cake melts in your mouth and is the perfect ratio of chocolate and vanilla. Another unique facet of this recipe is the ability to customize the frosting because orange, peppermint, coffee, and more can be added to the vanilla frosting to change the flavor! The recipe that came into third place is my vegan Horseradish Sauce recipe! I created this recipe earlier in 2019 for Passover, and it has been a household favorite ever since. My husband Jake loves spicy foods, and my vegan Horseradish Sauce, using freshly grated horseradish, is made as often as we can find fresh horseradish in ourĀ  grocery store. Second place is my gluten free and vegan Chia Flax Bread. This recipe uses the Bob’s Red Mill gluten free bread mix, and makes a delicious, springy loaf that is not crumbly and dry like other gluten free loaves. This bread makes fantastic sandwiches, toast, croutons, and more.

The first place, most viewed recipe of 2019 is my 3 Ingredient Carob Bars! I was actually a bit surprised that this recipe was the number one recipe of 2019, but then I realized, no one wants to live without chocolate! Carob is not cacao, so if you have to avoid chocolate (cacao), try these carob bars!
